MEDICATION USED FOR 

APENTRAL 40 MG Injection is a proton pump inhibitor used in the treatment of stomach ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other acidity-related disorders . APENTRAL 40 MG decreases the acid produced in the stomach and helps in promoting healing of ulcers.It helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus.APENTRAL40 MG  belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). The injection form of this drug is used for a short time when you cannot take the medication by mouth.

INDICATIONS 

For the treatment of non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease.

For the treatment of pathological hypersecretion associated with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome or other hypersecretory syndromes.

For the treatment of erosive esophagitis

MECHANISM OF ACTION 

The mechanism of action of pantoprazole is to inhibit the final step in gastric acid production. In the gastric parietal cell of the stomach, pantoprazole covalently binds to the H+/K+ ATP pump to inhibit gastric acid and basal acid secretion.
