UXOFEB-80 (FEBUXOSTATE-80MGD) is used to lower uric acid levels in people with gout. UXOFEB-80 (FEBUXOSTATE-80MGD) works by reducing the amount of uric acid made by the body. Increased uric acid levels can cause gout.

MECHANISM OF ACTION: –

The formation of uric acid in the body is due to the breakdown of purines in to smaller molecules. The increase level of uric acid in the body (Hyperuricemia) occurs when rate of elimination of uric acid is lower than its production rate. This elevation of uric acid forms crystals and deposits in the joint (Gouty Arthritis), tissues causing pain and inflammation, kidney stones.

UXOFEB-80 (FEBUXOSTATE-80MGD) stops the enzyme activity (xanthine oxidase) which produces uric acid by converting purines into uric acid.
