TIGIWAR-50 Injection contains Tigecycline 50 mg, a broad-spectrum glycylcycline class antibiotic derived from the tetracycline group. It is used for the treatment of complicated infections caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria, including those resistant to commonly used antibiotics.

Mechanism of Action

• Tigecycline binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit of bacteria.

• It blocks the entry of amino-acyl tRNA into the ribosome, inhibiting protein synthesis.

• This prevents bacterial growth and replication, providing a bacteriostatic effect against a wide range of pathogens.
